Why Belgrade?

I grew up there and received private dental treatment in the city recently which led me to consider the opportunity for others to do the same.

Can I eat familiar food while in Belgrade?

Yes. Belgrade offers many fine restaurants with local specialities in authentic surroundings as well as some of the world's famous burger and pizza chain establishments.

How does the service work? What is the procedure?

I don't live near London. Can I have my consultation at a local dental practice?

Yes. Although please ensure that your diagnosis and x-ray is either emailed to us or saved to a compact disc.

I am worried about the language barrier. What assurances are there that my dentist in Belgrade will understand me?

Dr Dimitrijevic and his highly-qualified staff are fluent English speakers, so you can rest assured. Actually, Smile Dent is the official dental practice for staff at the British, American and Canadian embassies in Belgrade.

Is the treatment safe?

Yes, absolutely. The work carried out for you by Smile Dent will be covered and backed by a full, four-year warranty.

Do I need a Visa to visit Serbia?

For citizens of the EU, USA, Canada, Australia and New Zealand a Visa is not required for any stay of less than 90 days.

What is the currency in Belgrade and Serbia?

The Dinar is the local currency, although the Euro is widely accepted, too.

What treatment can I get at Smile Dent?

How do I claim my £50 reimbursement for my dental consultation?

Simple, we will deduct £50 from your final quote.

Will my treatment in Belgrade be as good as treatment that is standard in the UK?

Yes, definitely. Smile Dent's dentists are well-trained and proficient dental surgeons who pride themselves on their extremely high professional standards. They consistently deliver painless, pleasant treatment using only the finest and highest quality materials and equipment.

Why is dental care so much cheaper in Belgrade?

There is the notion of 'rip-off Britain'. This is not a new idea, but it is certainly very real. Many goods and services really do cost a lot more in the UK compared to continental Europe (particularly eastern and southern Europe).

Also, there is the simple fact that materials, equipment and supplies are bought by dentists across Europe from identical or similar suppliers but prices can vary wildly according to differing levels of demand and location.

Lastly, while Serbia, of which Belgrade is the capital city, is not a member of the European Union, its economy is booming while the country remains one of the cheapest in Europe.

What methods of payment do we accept?

We accept cheques and bank transfers in the UK and cash and all major credit cards at the Smile Dent clinic in Belgrade.

How does our service make a profit?

We provide the link between you, the patient, and the Smile Dent dental practice, for which we charge a fee.

Is YourFavouriteDentist.co.uk a travel agent?

No. We are not a travel agent although we can recommend tours and tourist programmes, preferred hostels, guest houses, hotels and also book them on behalf of patients using our service. You tell us your preferences based on budget, preferred location, etc. and we will do our best to meet your requirements.

Can children receive treatment at Smile Dent as well as adults?

Yes.

Can I travel with a companion?

Yes. Let us know and we can arrange accommodation for two.

What happens to my contact/personal details once I submit them?

They stay private. We guarantee that your personal details, including email addresses, will remain confidential. We will never pass them on, for monetary gain or otherwise, to anyone else in any circumstances.

I am unable to have an "OPG" in the UK. Can I have it in Belgrade?

If you are unable to have an OPG x-ray taken in the UK, "Smile Dent" staff will assist you in having an OPG in Belgrade (please note that this service is chargeable).
